Boxford Gardening Society
Who are we?
Boxford Gardening Society was founded in 2007 by a group of keen gardeners of varying abilities, all anxious to further their knowledge of growing and tending plants. We have grown to around 100 members, amateurs and professionals.
We meet in Boxford Village Hall at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of every month, except December.
Each month we have talks on varied gardening topics followed by tea and coffee and time to chat.
These are free to Boxford Gardening Society Members except when there is a celebrity speaker when a charge may be made.
Non-members always very welcome to attend our monthly talks at £5 per person.
At the November meeting we have a social event with a garden photography competition and displays of members’ autumn flowers.
Garden visits are arranged during the year for members only.
In May we hold a biennial plant sale when members provide plants grown by them.
Each year we hold a ‘Spud Day’ competition when members bring their bucket of potatoes grown from seed provided by our Society and great fun ensues when weighing to find the heaviest crop!
